Fabulous Hermes Vintage Box Leather Constance in Rouge H Red

  
For sale is a beautiful and authentic Rouge H Constance 23cm, stamped Q in a circle for 1987. Like most 80s box leather, this box has remarkable resiliency and shine that camouflages scratches better than box from other decades (in my experience, anyway). Rouge H varies year to year, sometimes dramatically, and this version is fabulous: a pure clear bing cherry red with no brown whatsoever. In bright sunlight it almost has the clarity and vibrancy of Rouge Vif. Resin is black as is always the case with Rouge H. The clasp was replaced not too long ago and shows very little wear. There is a pen mark under the flap, which is easy to spot at normal viewing distance. There are also some hairline pen marks near the top of the right hand side of the front flap of the bag. These are hard to spot at normal viewing distance, but I've taken a close-up photo in the brightest light possible to show that they are there. Please be sure you can live with them, even if no one else is likely to spot them! The box leather on the body of the bag shows normal wear, along with the marks near the clasp that are typical of Constances after they've been opened and closed. The strap is in good condition, but does have one area that's lifting, although it only shows when flexed (I flexed it for the photo). There's also a little silvery mark on it, on the inside.
