Hermes Birkin, Vintage 40cm Rouge with Gold Hardware in Courchevel Leather

  
Was the predecessor to the very popular Hermès leather called Epsom. In fact, many of the qualities of the texture are similar, however, courchevel has a beautiful sheen that glimmers beautifully in the sun light and is surprisingly lightweight, a unique and difficult quality to find with Hermès Birkin and HAC bags that are known of weighing down their wearer. From my private, vintage collection , this Birkin is stamped X in a circle and is 26-years old; in one of the most ideal sizes 40 cm, this Birkin is large enough to be used as a travel bag or an everyday bag. You will have the biggest Birkin out there before you get to the oversized travel Birkin, meaning heads will turn as most men and women carry 25cm, 30 cm to 35cm as everyday Birkins.

This Birkin is in really good condition and was pre-loved. The corners show light scuffs. There is a hairline scratch on the front of the leather, which the pictures detail if you are able to see it. It is truly a hairline scratch and hardly noticeable. The hardware is gold and shows signs of wear and tear, likewise the interior of the bag shows signs of wear and tear, especially on the interior area of the gussets.

The Birkin still has every stitch intact, and there are no holes or tears to the leather or corners. Comes with its original clochette. I never had the original lock and key, however, I will include a vintage, authentic Hermès gold lock and key (see photos) to accompany the Birkin.

Please note that there is no dust cover, rain coat or box to accompany the Birkin. As a pre-loved bag, I have had it recently authenticated by the only authenticator I trust, Bababebi , whose owner has over 30+ years of experience in collecting and authenticating Hermès bags.
